The truck pictured on the bottom of page 8 is in fact a M35A2 2.5-ton truck. The caption is wrong. The M809 is a 5-ton truck.

Talking about the the M35A3, apart from the new headlights, you'll have to change the wheels. The A3 is fitted with bigger tires and single wheels on the rear axles. You'll have to scratchbuild the specific rims. The exhaust pipe is quite different as well.

Maybe you can also go to the LOGSA website and download TM 9-2320-386-10 to get all the info you need for such a project.

The conversion is not too hard to do. Some plastic stock and mesh is all that is needed for the front grill. The head lights can be scratch built as well. the turbo air cleaner booster can can be made using tube stock and the original air cleaner from the AFV Club kit. The rest of the truck is as the kit is. The wheels and tires would be the problem. I do not know of anyone who is producing the wheels and tires as a conversion for the kit.. I have wanted to do this conversion myself but it is the wheels that have stopped me. I would love tho see someone manufacture these wheels.
