Hi Guys, just wanted to share with you my completed kits, Modifications were done to all of them to add some accuracy..I used Humbrol and Valejo paints. MIG pigments, artist pigments and some Echelon decals. I decided to weather them pretty heavy. There're more pics at my website.
So Six Abrams done, and Eleven (or more) in progress..of which :
Two M1A2 SEPs - One with Mine Plow and Extended deflector, the other with the Mine Roller Adapter.
One TAGS & CSAMM,
One with Humvee type gunshield
One with UK Dozer Blade.
The rest are USMC versions with MCDs and Extented Bustle racks, And from Army 3ID with Extended Bustle rack and jerry can racks, exhaust deflector and various other "things" .... some of which will be offered as AM sets..after the TAGS and CSAMM set is done.
And I'm looking forward to Dragons' AIM release!
COMMENTS PLEASE

Hi Nick,
job very well done. You got a mighty platoon here. I wouldn't like to be on the wrong side :-)
The weathering reflects very well the worn aspect of vehicles in combat situation. I really can't tell which one I prefer. The reflective glass of the MCD is simply amazing, could you share the technique ?

Hi Olivier,
Thanks for the comments! I weathered them heavy as I wanted to depict them as been in action...I just wished I started working on my resin version of .50 spent rounds earlier, then at least the turret would be filled with empty shells and links.
As for the MCD reflective surface,..as I've mentioned on my other post on the TAGS and CSAMM upgrade....I can't as yet give the material away on an open forum as it's part of an AM kit set...but if I can secure my source for something better I'll post an article here on where to find them exactly..
But for all the guys here on armorama who's been helping me with my research on my AM kits..or any other armorama member ---I'll PM you with the info on the item.
I just PMed you Olivier with the info.

Hi Nick !
WOW !!! Lot´s of very nice abrams...
Which kits did you use ? The tamiya M1A2 ?
I think it would have been nice if you´d built 6 abrams of the same platoon, so this could become a really great Diorama !
Maybe with the still missing other tanks you could make one platoon and then place them on a big base, maybe a convoi to baghdad ?!?!
Very cool weathering and great paint job ! I´m looking forward to see the other vehicles too !
Cheers

Great looking tanks, Nick. I really like the way you have outfitted them.

Love the builds. I really like the Marine Abrams.
How is the sandy weathering done? Airbrushed? Scrubed in pastels? Pastels with thinner? A combo of all 3? I would like to make my kit this dirty.

Wow those must have taken you a long time to complete. Have you gone into seclusion just to finish these?
Great job on the Abrams! Can see you went hard on the MIG pigments. Love the way you did the antennas on them too, very accurate. Were they stretched sprues?
How did you find the Dragon kits with the mine plows? Would love to hear your feedback on that kit as ive been wanting to get it for sometime now.
