Greetings all,
Would anyone know the correct Divisional or Brigade marking for the following:
1 Armd Dvi - N Africa 1942
or
2 Armd Bde - N Africa 1942
Sorry I can't seem to find the markings for these formations.
Many thanks
Al

Al,
Profile Book 2, British and Commonwealth Armoured Formations (1919-46) lists the 1st Armd Div and the 2nd Armd Brigade having the same formation sign whilst in North Africa. The 2nd Armd Brigade kept this sign for the duration of the war, but the 1st Armd Div adopted a slightly different one when it deployed to Italy.
Both are what looks like a white rhino on a black oval. The oval transfers on this Archer page appear to be the North Africa/2nd Armd Brigade one.

The later one used in Italy by 1st Armd Div has a more dynamic pose with the head down and the horn much more prominent and a tail visible.
