Hi All,

Still in Afghanistan, but I saw a German AFV a couple days ago and I have No Idea what it is. I have a picture, but the camera is not adaptable to transfer to the computer. It is a small probably 2-3 man tank, with a 25mm cannon in the turret, it reminds me, in shape of the British Scorpion vehicle. Anyone with knowledge of this afv please let me know, it is a source of discussion in my hootch!!!

Camp Warehouse? Those are Weasels. They also have the TOW version over there.

Oh yeah, definately the weisel AFV. It comes in basically every variant you can think of, from chain gun, to TOW, to AA versions.

The AFV Club Wiesel is a very nice kit. One of them (I don't remember which one off hand) comes molded in white for a Somalia UN version. Very petite little vehicle that is smaller than a 1/35 scale HMMWV.

If you decide to build the ISAF versions, just be aware that the tracks on the AFV CLub kit are incorrect. No aftermarket ones available as of yet.

Anyone know if any company makes an open door version of the Weisel ambulance? I think it would be a good addition to my modern German stuff.

(slightly) I imagine it would be a very quick ambulance which is always nice, and is armored (even nicer!) but it looks like you would have trouble getting any kind of medical crew in the tiny little thing!
(check the link in my previos reply to this topic, go to the second page, its on the left side)

The Waffenträger Weisel is armed with the same RH202 20mm cannon that's fitted to the Luchs and the Marder

It's the Waffenträger Weisel 1 that's armed with the 20mm cannon.

It's about the same size if not slightly smaller than a 1/72nd scale Bradley from what I remember.
