Hi, everyone.
Do any of you use disposable pipettes to transfer paint from the bottle to a mixing cup and/or paint cup? If so, where do you get them. Sometimes "lab supply houses" are mentioned, but no one seems to mention specific names.
I purchased a few glass eye droppers, and they're fine for thinner, but they're a pain to clean, so I'm hesitant to use them for color. I've also tried the straw method, but that seems a little clumsy, at least to me. I'm also guessing the straw method wouldn't work too well if the bottle is nearly empty.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Testors makes large plastic ones.
Acrylic paint can be cleaned out of them easily but for enamels you will need to fill them with thinner and. squirt it out repeatedly (You can use the same thinner by squirting it into a jar. The thinner really doesn’t need to be clean) followed by a little soapy water.
A pack comes with 6 and I’ve been using mine for about a year now.
you can find them at Testors.com or most hobby shops.

Micro-Mark also sells them. Try them on-line at www.micromark.com. Item number 82607 is a package of 20 2-cc pipettes for $12.30...

Try Beckman medical supply company. We used to get boxes and boxes of them in the lab where I worked. What the cost is I have no idea, but it's alot cheaper than the 6 pipettes for $5 that I've seen the my LHS!

Thanks for all the suggestions. As it happens, I was able to find pipettes at Drs. Smith and Foster, a pet supply web site. The pipettes are used for feeding birds and reptiles. The price was $30 for 500, about the going rate at most lab supply sites. Since most web sites require you to create an account when you make a purchase, and I'm much more likely to make future purchases from a pet site than from a lab supply site (having two golden retrievers), I went with the doctors.
Once again, thanks for the input.
