This is my first 1/48th model i have built, infact its the first model i have built in the last 5 years !. I was lucky enough to have an airbrush for christmas so this is my first stab at airbrushing instead of using a paintbrush. The mud /dust are from mig productions and the new tamiya weathering sets. I know its not perfect, but i am really happy with the results.

That looks really good Steve can't wait to see more of your armor. I might need to try a 1/48 scale project sometime instead of looking at everyone elses models. Last time I did 1/48 was back in middle school and most likely an aircraft.
Keep up good work

Looks good for 1st in 5 years. Also for small scale.

What did you think of the Tamiya 1/48 scale Tiger - I'm interested in getting one.

Steve,
Great job, I think that you should keep doing some more armour. As a fan of the new 1/48th it is great to see a few more appearing on the site as they are not some fiendish plot to take over the modelling market.
I hope you enjoyed the flexible approach that an airbrush can bring to your building.

Its a great little kit. Took me a few months as i work shifts, have two small children, so only get a couple of evenings a week to do anything.

Next up is Tamiya's Sherman

Yes i did, had one when i was a lot younger Revell), lasted one session then ended up throwing it away as it clogged up. New one is a lot sweeter.

GOOD WORK.

Few pointers,

- drill the hole of the MG
- shovel is a bit too rusty, looks like it has never been used and thats not possible with a tank
- some assembly marks still noticable on the back

except that, an ecellent build

Mirko
