Hi
It would seem that I don't really have a super clear pic of the glacis plate of an M4... The weld beads I have just modelled are hatched perpendicular to the weld seam, but I have a feeling that the welds actually ran parallel, like on the bottom edge of the extra armour plate over the drivers' boxes... Any pic referenceout there?
Cheers
Brad

I've got these photos of an M4 something 105mm with a 47 degree glasis and added on armor plates:

Does that help any?

Yep thanks lads those are some better pics than what I was dealing with...
Rick~ Take for example the weld seam on the outside of the hull running along the length of the M4. I had scribed grooves across (like a ladder) instead of running lengthways WITH the seam... Also, on the Tamiya M4 there is a seam that runs from the turret splash ring between the front hatches, down to the horizontal seam, which I have yet to see in any pics... Is this erroneous?
Cheers again
Brad

EDIT: What's the chance of me saying this above, and then be beaten to the punch by 2 minutes by jcneil's pics showing exactly what I hadn't seen before!?!?!:P
