I am painting some US infantry figures to put in a Battle of the Bulge Diorama but am not sure what colours to use for the webbing, straps, and other accessories. I am OK with the main uniform colours but want to make the extras stand out a bit and be "reasonably" accurate.
By the way I am using mainly Humbrol enamels.
Thanks
Roger

This is what I do. For WWII figures, I use a dark olive or earth brown for uniforms, then go with a lighter color such as khaki for the gear and straps then drybrush with OD. Canvas straps and gear bleached out and weathered severly when exposed to the elements. Here is an example of how they look.
