Here you go guys, this was Taught to me by a friend who builds rally cars. It's really easy and has the nice appearence of a vehicle that has waded through a nasty puddle of mud. I first grab a large flat bottom bowl. then i add a mixture of paint and thinner to the desired tone of i mud i want. Careful use acrylic mud for enamel and use enamel mud for acrylics. the thinner may attack your finish. Now once i have a consistency of "water" I set the tank/half-track in the mud. Using a flat brush swish around the mud paying attention to the bow plate, fenders, and the drive sproket on halftracks as mud will well up in those areas forming a bow wave. Once satisfyied with your muddy vehicle ste it aside to dry on a bracket made from a wire coat hanger so the excess drips onto a rag or back in the bowl. the extar mud can be stored in a paint bottle, or jar and used later. i still have enough mud for several vehicles. happy modeling stug

This,my swine brother, looks to be a good technique I will try.I usually use a airbrush for the dirty look but this may be easier.Oink!

you can do a similar thing with mud made of dirt from your garden and water. Allow it to dry and then seal it with clear. Or if you don't like the effect once done just put it in the sink and wash the dirt/mud off
