Well lets introduce our works before we start in couple of days

Im gonna be flying a Hurricane Mk IIc

my kit is this

Im gonna build it into folowing version

================================================
Hurricane Mk IIC, LD116 / A, 351 Sqn RAF - 2nd squadron NOVJ (Yugoslavian partisans army), Benina, Libya, summer 1944. 351 Squadron, Role: Fighter-Bomber/Close-air support
================================================

351 Squadron, RAF, was first formed at Benina, near Benghazi, in Libya in July 1944, as the 'Second Yugoslav Fighter Squadron'. Initial equipment was the Hawker Hurriciane Mk.IIc. The squadron later converted to the Hurricane Mk.IV, specialising in rocket attacks. In September 1944 it moved to Italy to join No.281 Wing of the Balkan Air Force and to complete its operational training. The first combat mission was flown on 13 October 1944. The squadron normally operated it's sorties from the island of Vis on the Adriatic coast and in February began to operate from a captured airfield on the Yugoslav coast. Initially operating in direct support of the Yugoslav National Liberation Army, in 1945 it concentrated on road, rail and shipping targets. In 1945 it formally transferred to the Yugoslav Air Force at Prkos on 15 June 1945, ceasing to be an RAF Squadron. Until the end of the war, the unit performed 978 combat sorties. Three pilots were killed and the unit lost 9 aircraft.

Air Bases: Base Duration
Benina, Libya 1 July 1944 - 22 Sept 1944
Canne, Italy 22 Sept 1944 - Feb 1944
Vis Island, Adriatic coast (Det.) 18 Oct 1944 - 5 April 1945
Skabrnje, Yugoslavia Feb 1945 - 5 April 1945
Prkos, Yugoslavia (Det.) 2 March 1944 - 5 April 1945
Prkos, Yugoslavia 5 April 1945 - 15 June 1945

Hi Sensei, just found this, thanks for the link.

A Bf109G-5 of 7/JG27 in late 1943, somewhere in the Agean area of the Med.

being an ex Hasegawa kit, it should go together fairly easy, but as the boxing for Revell is a G-4, only one MG bulge is in the kit, so some scratch building is required.

This is what you get to start with.

This is where I am at present.

I'll try to get some more done before going to work today.

Hi Ian

some more info on your machine. There is a well known series of pictures taken during an escort mission for a He 111 towards Crete with Gen. Holle and Gen. Fiebig on board around 1st december 1943.

The "Schwarm" (4 aircraft formation) consisted of Uffz. Theo Heckmann in "white 1", Lt. Emil Clade in "white 2", Uffz. Büsen in "white 7" and Uffz. Moycis in "white 9". There are no photos of the "white one" in the series.

White 7 and 9 have "Sandabscheider" (sand filter that your drawing does not show!!) on the supercharger intake and show the new Staffel sign of 7./JG 27 below the cockpit and the group sign on the nose (position is ok, but it is slightly too large in the drawing).

All 4 a/c have a white fuselage band (which is broader on the "white 7" drawing is ok for "white 9"). "white 2" has a white rudder and "white 9" has a white rudder and a white fin above the elevators. The "9" is of narrower style than in your drawing and "white 9" has cannon gondolas below the wings.

source: Prien et al. Messerschmitt Bf 109 im Einsatz mit der III. und IV./JG 27 pg. 252 ff.

I took a picture of one of the photos in that book:

Here's my Bf109 all ready for action. What an easy build apart from one or two bits.
Only additions made were a scratch buit cannon bulge as the kit only supplies one, etched seat belts and MG151 barrels replaced with tube.

All I need is my Hurricane victim..............
