Is 120 a gloss color? It's light green, and at the LHS it said it was matt. I put a thin coat of 120 over my 1/35th figure and it turned out extremely glossy and thick. I thinned the paint with Testors enamel thinner, but even with no thinner it is glossy and thick.

Am I doing something wrong, or did I just buy the wrong type of paint. I might be able to put pictures up later, it looks horrible and I can't get it off now.

The no. 120 paint is matt according to Humbrol's catalogue.
Maybe you haven't mixed the paint well enough? I know that
Humbrols enamels like to be well shaken and stirred, esp.
when opened for the first time.
You can get the paint off by dipping the figure in an oven
cleaner or DOT-3 brake fluid overnight.

Humbrol 120 Light Green is a matt colour.

I suppose the obvious question is did you shake and stir the tin thoroughly? But maybe the paint is just old...

Personally, I find the best thing to thin Humbrol enamels with... is Humbrol thinners (the one in the squar bottle)...

I shook and stirred the tin for what seemed like quite a bit. I assume it was a new tin, I just bought five yesterday, including #120.

I'll try stirring more vigorously though, and applying it again if I can find some over cleaner/brake fluid. Thanks.

I also picked up floquil enamel thinner, I looked for humbrol but all they had was paint. Is floquil good stuff?.

Shaking wont do it, the matt pigment is probably acumulated in the base of the pot. Just open the pot and mix the paint with a toothpick. I've had your problem in the past, I think most of us had it one way or the other, and I find thatt a good mixing and thinning is the key
