Hi again

Just keeping all up to date with Cromwell and diorama as discussed over on the AFV forum. As you can see I've now added more stowage and the spotlight cable (hope its right - didn't have any ref photos for attaching to underside of spot).

Also, the diorama base with buildings etc. There's still a wee bit more work to do on this before I add the tank and figures (which still need painting - but I like that bit, so been saving it till last).

As usual, your feedback please gents, before its too late and I'm on to the next project!

Please check out my photos gallery for more. Cheers. Later.

Not a British expert so in general the Cromwell looks good, nice stowage.

The base looks good. I would like to see some of the individaul bricks that have fallen to be painted red to match the red in the window gaps.

Looks like you are off to a good start. I think it will be a very good dio. What figures are you planning to use? Cheers Kevin

Hi
The tank looks great, and I'm not a British armour expert either, so I cannot comment on the vehicle. The stowage looks good too, though the duffelbag looks a little bit too akward - whats in it? It should be 'soft' so its lying more naturally on top of the equipment underneath.

The dio setting looks really good. You've done a fine piece of work on the Italeri walls. Just keep in mind, the buildings roofs has been blasted away and most of the walls has also been crushed, so the street should be filled with debris, wood planks and such 'building materials'.

Inspite of my critizism, a fine piece of work that'll result in a good dio. Good luck with it.

Simon

Thanks for the comments Simon, as this is one of my first dio's for a long time, I'm using it a bit of learning curve (and I'm learning a lot!). You're right about the debris, as I say its not quite finished so I'll add some more debris and maybe a telegraph pole or lampost to add some height. The duffle/kit bag was one of those things you add at midnight when you should really be tucked up in bed and not bent double on a coffee high! I'll shave some off the underside I think.

Again thanks for the honesty.

Awesome! It's all building up the right way! The Cromwell tank is very well painted and weathered, as well as the house/ church! By the way, is the building from Italery?
Cheers and happy modelling!

Hi Matt,
Very nice Cromwell, as for the wiring for the lamp if you look at the commander's hatch you can see a very small notch at the base of the rim, look carefully, with me? attach wire from there & run it to the lamp.Check out Vinnie's photo pages,he's also put a handle on the back of the lamp which is a nice touch.Apart from that it's looking great.
Regards Richardmci.

I take it you're going to be taking part in this group build if we get the go ahead?

You've got most of it done already!

PS. Have you got any pics of the Tank Riders?

PPS. Oh, and do you have Cromwells web address?

Cheers

Ah yes, cheers Richard they look very nice (I had a look on the website too). Guess I'll try the same method Allan did, and email them.

Anyhow, I've got the evening to myself, so off to paint those figures!

Cheers
