I know I should be doing the M2A2, but I need this model finished for a model comp in June. Its pretty much finished now, everything has been sealed up and finished off, I gave it a quick mist with some ight tan to break up the colours a little and add some dust. I just have to paint the anntena mast and add the MK19. I decided to make a small base to display the mdoel on and keep away greasy fingers from the model. The road is sandpaper, sprayed black, the road markings were masked off and sprayed. The curbs are plus model, sand is celluclay with some fine sand and dirt on top sprayed yellow and the sing is from echelon. Thanks for looking! All comments welcome, when its done i'll try and get some better pics.

NICE!!! This one will be great! Looking forward to see it with the MK 19 installed. Will there be any figgies with your vehicle?

Rob,
your vignette is inspiring ! It's the kind I'd like to do for my last Humvee. I got the Nemrod figures Pete used for his model and have to paint them now
I'll try not to mess all up. The base should be quite similar to yours. Your painting of the road is really cool.
Keep on posting.

Thanks for the comments guys! I do want to add some figs, I have some great Think 180 figs that would go well with this, however I do not intend to add any yet as I find competition judges are very tough on figures and im not a great figure painter yet. Once I improve I will add some, but in the interestests of trying to do well in the comp i'll leave them for the mean time.

Very nicely done there Rob! Nicely loaded with AM parts. Did you do up the interior?
Also, what material did you use the to the road side curb?
Good luck with the competition as well!

Very Nice! What did you use for the expanded metal around the exhaust pipe? It looks just right and perfectly to scale!

Hey Rob, just a little info for you...if you are going to put figures, the Marines I worked with in Fallujah ran 5 to a gun truck: driver, commander, 2 in the gun turret and an extra behind the driver as a guard.

Two in the turret of a Guntruck, that must have been a tight fit.

Thanks all for the kind comments! Would of thanked you all sooner but ive been away on holiday.
For those who dont know, the kit is Tamiya detailed with eduards etch set and converted using Blast weapons ring, Blast wheel(modified so the correct spelling of Good is on the front), Blast armoured doors and pro arts sincgars inside.
Eric-thanks for that info, it must of been a tight fit inside and rather sweaty!! If and when I do add figures I think i'll omly add one or two becuase im not that good a painter. I'll probably add Think 180's Marine standing in MOPP gear.
Thanks all!

Yeah Rob this Hummer is sharp…real sharp. Nicely built, clean detail and a great looking base. I agree on the two figures, it’ll add more interest and bring out the vehicle a little more.
