Friends,
here I present the final pics before I enter my creation into the contest. Tomorrow I'll make some pics in daylight and send them to the judges....
This is it....
The Atmosphere
Walking through a winter wonderland
Tom went to the doctors and got his feet back
Mother Goose is on the loose
that's it.... tomorrow some new pics and that wraps up this project. Am I happy sith it.....Nope, I'm sorry........just not satisfied. Although it's only my second dio in life and the first resin figure attempt........I wanted more. I think the snow killed it...... Well ok I'll stop whining.....let them judges decide what's good and what's not good about this little creation.
BUT : Like I said in some other post before...This contest gave me hours of building-fun......I really loved it, and it got me right back into the hobby again......That's why I feel I'm a winner after all.......
I'd like to thank everybody who fed me with those positive crytics !! It really boosted my confidence and gave me the energy to finish it.
thanks mates !!

Nice job. I love Mother Goose.
Doesn't it stink that we can only submitt 5 pictures You don't feel like you can show everything you want to show.
Don't beat yourself up - you did great. (Yea I do the same thing too and have to remind my self to stop yanking my own chain.)
Congratulation on a job well done!!!!

Danny,
you seem unhappy about that snow ? It looks just fine. And for Tom : why does he look so unhappy ? If he's hungry : he won't be very much longer with that nice fat goose just three feet away.... !
Nive dio, Danny. really. !

Friends,
thanks for the encouraging words. Maybe it's just because I expected more from the snow or I had the wrong picture in my mind about that snow..... But I'll be back with some other snow dio for sure. Practice makes perfect
Like I said, there are some little things that bother me, but I must be hounest to myself too.... it's only my second dio and my first real figure attempt (resin that is)...... so I have absolutely no reason for the disappointment......one year ago I would have thought I couldn't do it at all.
I really enjoyed this contest. It gave me hours and hours of fun both in my hobby room building the dio and over here at Armorama talking about this and other entries. Having fun with it, that's what counts in my opinion.
I used this contest dio to examine and try-out different techniques, wich resulted in beautiful grass, a nice shed and (in my humble opinion) a real nice Mother Goose (my first animal ever !!). Though I have some second thoughts about the overall results, I found a hughe amount of satisfaction in it, not to mention the bags of pride I have to carry around on the things I AM happy with. Just look at Tom...... when I finished that little friend I thought that only Verlinden, Bannerman etc. could do that.....Ok he's still not 100%, so what.....he's a 1000% better than in my wildest dreams before trying.
I'm happy I joined in !! It gave me the confidence I needed so much to build and share !!!
Thanks again to all of you who supported me (even if it resulted in nuking the place )
And to Jan,
Mother Goose will be on that workbench as soon as Roger Rabbit "Has Left The Building"

What shrub is that growing in front of the cabin ? Those wouldn't be carrots, would they ? And there's some thyme growing next to it as well. The hay will be excellent to start a little fire. If I were Tom, I'd rip that curtain off and wrap it around me. After the "surprise de lapin aux carottes" he can make a nice little nest of hay and cuddle up under a sack of hay-stuffed curtains. Cheer up, Tommy boy. Life ain't so bad... !

I dont know what you are not satisfied with eagle. The snow looks really good to me. I like the way it is blown up against the front in a driting way. Makes it look blowy as well! The woodwork of the shed is first class and the door really stands out with its hinges and gap at the top. For me if there was one thing that could be bettered upon would be to have more junk thrown in the shed. Its a little bare, eventhough its at the door and window side, there still should be more junk built randomly around. From the outside the shen looks perfect but I feel Tom looks a little small or makes the shed look bigger inside.
This is all i could think of after staring at the shed pics for a while. Take it as compliment.
Good luck in the competition!

Danny
nice work there man I really love the shed everything looks so good.
I only share the opinion with Plasticbattle that the shed looks a bit empty from the inside but that also could depict the loneliness of Tom.
but your snow looks good your woodwork looks good I like the big fat goose you have running around there. You just did a really good job and if it`s only your second dio that makes it even a better prestation I made several and my second dio surely didn`t look as good as this one.
congrats dude

How sad.
I hope that's the goose's helmet . But where are the feathers ?
That little extra dio with the cross is SUPERBLY pictured : the transfer from your "snow trial base" into this little gem is extraordinary ! The sepia B/W picture really sets the atmosphere.
