During another thread, we were talking about the R.P Hunnicutt armor book series. They are an excellent source of information and I really enjoy the ones I have. My favorite one is the Sheridan, A History of American Light Tanks vol. 2, (the Stuart being vol. 1). Don't let the "Sheridan" name fool you, this book contains information on all US light armored vehicles from the T37 (circa '46) to armored vehicles today. Some of the vehicles it covers are the M-41Bulldog, T-71, T-92, M551 Sheridan prototypes (flame tank, CEV, twin 25mm, AVLB, ADA, 105mm, 155mm SP, APC, IFV, mortar carrier, ATRV), VISMODs, and the DJ-loved AGS system (XM-8 Stingray).

Additionally, it gives information on specialized light armored vehicles like the M-56 Scorpion, M-50 Ontos, T-99 howitzer, M-52 howitzer, M-108/M-109 series, M-107/110 series, M-42 Duster, M578, M-9 ACE, and M992 FAASV.

Favorite picture is the XM-8 with the passive armor boxes, thing's dressed to kill.

Sabot,
I am in complete agreement about this volume...I unfortunately (?) recieved this book from my dad as a Christmas present about 1 month after I finished my Bulldog! I've been eyeing up another M-41 ever since.

BTW, anyone have any reviews of the Patton volume...they are out there (not cheaply, either) and want to know before I invest heavily...
