I've bought a Tamiya Marder 1A2 and I need to know if the colors I have for the Leopard 2A6 are the same or at least can be accurate enough.
The ones I got for the Leopard are the Nato Black, Green and Brown (Tamiya range)
The instructions from Tamiya have a diferent set of colors from the Leopard but I thought it could be that at the time of release of the Marder Kit, the Nato colors were not available in their range.
Am I right?

You got it. The colors are the same, but Tamiya's NATO colors have only been available for about the last 6 years. The Marder 1A2 model has been around for quite some time.
Good luck with it.

Hey
Most Nato countries paint the vehicles in the same 3 tone camo. Except for the french who use different colours, Poland,....
I use the paints from revell. The are called bronze green, Leather brown and tar black. These colours match very close the real thing.
On my website you have a paint table where you can look up your colours.
Cheers Roel

I seem to remember when building that excellent model in its day that the vehicles were mono-tone olive drab.

You're probably right John.
Maybe this kit was updated because the photo on the instructions has a one tone (BW photo) version but the instructions have a NATO camouflage.
But the box has a picture of the real vehicle in a NATO cam, so it may be an update

I've only ever seen the Marder 1(A0) in the olive drab(gelboliv). It's the one without the Milan launcher and with the rear remote mg mount.
Tamiya makes the 1A0 and the 1A2 kit and if I remember correctly the 1A2 kit contained the 1A0 parts as well.
