Hey Gents!

I recently moved and there are no hobby shops around that offer a good range of model paints. I am seriously considering mail-ordering a bunch of color and stock them up.

Off course I do have some projects that I want to get to this year and have planned the color I need for that. My question is, what color every modeler should have in their workshop to cover them on all AFV projects?

Thanks,

Ray

What colors depend on hte subjects you build. Modern US armor is going to call for a different set of colors than 1980's US armor which will be different from 1960's and 1940's colors. World War II German has 3 major color schemes, pre-1943 dark gray, 1943 on 3 color and DAK. British tanks of the period were a different color than their US counterparts.

I make sure that I have enough undercoat paint on hand to do what ever I need. After that, if I have to wait a little bit for the base coat and other colors it's OK. Trying to keep all the colors for all the different schemes is an impossible task and very wasteful of paint as has been mentioned. I, of course, learned that the hard way!! I now more or less just buy paint for what I am working on.
