I don't know if this is still an official campaign, but I've finished my entry anyways. I can also use if for the show in Port Townsend this weekend.
First the passage, in this case from "All American All The Way" by Phil Nordyke, page 627:

As a tank destroyer from the 7th Armored Division moved west from Salmchateau on the highway toward Fraiture, the commander spotted a lone trooper from the 325th digging a foxhole for an outpost near the road. The commander stopped the vehicle and asked him if this was the frontline. The trooper, Private First Class Vernon L. Haught, with Company F, 325th, looked up and said, "Are you looking for a safe place?"
The tank destroyer commander answered, "Yeah."
Haught then said, "Well buddy, just pull your vehicle behind me. I'm the 82nd Airborne and this is as far as the bastards are going."

Now, the pics:

Great interpretation in model form. I like your passage too! Great quote from a GI

Nice work. I like stories like that and you did a good job capturing the essence of the story.

Too bad he didn't find the foxhole that I modeled for this campaign - or maybe it's a good thing because he might have gotten too comfortable and fallen asleep!
