Of course they are included Eric, quoting the rules:

"In or out of service it doesn't matter. Pre or post production and prototypes for those adventurous types. Plus the M113 lineage will be represented with the inclusion of the M114, YPR-765 series, AIFV and the KIFV. "

A korean K-200 or similar itīs most welcome

Cheers and happy modelling

I've started scratching the Lynx ( I'll build the Cougar for the Meow Campaign) and will begin the weld seams soon( if you've ever seen the Lynx, you'll know what I mean), I'm really looking forward to this one.

I'm really interested in see the Lynx scratch built. I think there was one on ML about a year ago. Are you chopping up a M113 base?

Hi Paul,
Thats the way I did it chopped and channeled an old Tamiya M113. I used a set of drawings from George Bradford to get the right sizes and the rest will come from photos and my intimate knowledge of the Lynx... I think I still have a quart of diesel in my system..... and a scar on my upper gum from not having enough speed to take out a tree...the tree won, my mouth lost...smashed it against the hatch ring....but I still love that little beast.

Well not sure how weel i have done with the scratch building, but this is where i am at with my M-113 PNMK. The turret add on armour is scrat built out of .40 Evergreen, as is the front armour. The bolts are from the Academy Warrior kit, the mesh over the intakes is some old Tamiya stuff i have left over, and the side armour is from the Mr Models Swiss Schutzenpanzer. I did not feel up to tackling the side armour myself, especially as the woven mesh would have driven me to distraction. The tracks for this will be the HKWS M-113 tracks. Very easy to assemble, and do not need any glue to hold them together, they are also the correct pattern for NATO M-113's. The shield over the gunners site is made from brass sheet, and the vehicle will be painted in NATO colours to represent one of the PNMK's in SFOR

Any comments welcome

Here are some photos of my entry in progress. It is the Esci M113A1 but from the AMT/Ertl boxing. The kit is around 20 years old and was a fairly decent kit for its time. The tracks are link and length. Since I plan on making this into a Bundeswehr ambulance, I deleted the .50 cal machine gun and mount. I then cast the cupola in resin (I want to save the kit cupola for another project). I was planning to scratch build some litters, but got lazy and decided to box up the back

Other modifications were the cargo hatch was reworked to improve accuracy. I also added front tow hooks to the lower hull and added some detail to the front mud flaps. I added mesh to the engine grills and filler along the hull sides where the surface was slightly concave.

It is 1/72 scale, among the last of the very nice Esci Braille scale kits.

Nice one Robin, you would never guess it is 1/72nd scale from the pics, what camo scheme are you thinking of using, a NATO one?

That grayish green olive color used by the Bundeswehr in the 1950s and 1960s.

Hi folks,

I decided to make another kit first, different to the originally planed. Itīs the old Tamiya M106A1, modified to be (guess what) CHILEAN :-) .

Some of the mods I make:

- Tracks, water cans, machine gun from Academy spare parts.
- smoke launchers, half scratch, half kitbashed from Revell spare parts.
- Mortar itīs the kitīs original one, was modified with a 4mm plasticard rod to resemble a 120mm mortar (donīt mind if the rest itīs different)
- Baggies from Tamiya, spare box parts.

The roof itīs just placed for the pic, will be moved away to paint the interior. Yet to add some few things, fill and sand

Thatīs all, pics:

OK, I painted the little M113 with a coat of Revell Matt 67 (whatever color that is, I bought it while stationed in Germany in 88). I added a center guide to the spare track block and added the spare track block mounts above the one spare link there. These were made from tiny bits of strip styrene. Construction is complete except for the addition of the trim vane. I added the handle to the trim vane release with a miniscule piece of stretched sprue.

For scale reference, each square is one inch or 2.54 cm.

A little update, basket added and some little mods, and of course, the figures....

The figures and the roof section are place only for the pics, will be removed as soon as the paint job starts

Cheers
