There are plenty of AM M1A1 barrels out there, can't really recommend one over the other, I don't use them. However, the Hobbycraft kit is a reboxed Trumpeter kit. The barrel can come out looking really good if you take your time on it. It fits just fine in the mantlet as well.
Good luck either way.

The Model Point barrel with resin bore evacuator is really nice, but expensive. Barrel Depot makes a decent all-metal one that is relatively cheap.

I've used Barrel depot on several modern type tanks and liked both the reasonable prices and the way they look. I buy them from either Luckymodels orEasyhobby out of China as they are a couple of dollars cheaper and the shipping costs for two or three barrels at the same time are under a dollar (chinese airmail)

I have the Barrel Depot barrel and had to comment that the bore evacuator had very sharp edges that I had to sand down in order to give the flowing look of the normal one. After that it looked pretty good.
