Well for those who gave imput and encouragement id like to take a moment to thank you all. I've learned a lot on this build and feel ive come a long way since my last build. It was my first etensive use of pe, first zimmerit, first time using oils, and first time using my new sparmax airbrush.

For those intrested, i primed using automotive primer, gave a base coat on tamiya desert yellow, pre shaded using lifecolor burnt umber, then another coat of desert yellow and khaki green for the camo using my sparmax. painted details, then i gave 2 coats of future, set the decals, gave another coat of future. Painted the tracks my brush using the bottom on tamiya gunmetal, then gave another coat of fututre, gave a few washes, then i gave it 2 dullcoats, applied rust streaks then i used some powders to dirty it up slighly.

C&C welcome,
Frank

Frank -

Outstanding, you've done yourself more than proud. Paint, weathering, zim, details all very convincing and superbly done. Only very minor thing would be a little sanding down on rear zim? Looks a bit thick. Love the 'damage' on side zim. Looking to get one of the new Dragon 'Premier' editions of this myself. Your work has encouraged me even more. Thanks,

Fanatastic job Frank - I really like the camo scheme. How did you find doing the zimm? In future I am going to stick to the Atak sets are they are far better than anything my 10 thumbs can do Takes only 10min to prep and glue on too

Francois,

I couldn't agree more. I am very happy for you and excited to see this finished. It turned out awesome. I would consider painting in the gunner's periscope though. I sent you a PM btw

What color to paint hte gunners periscope?

Thanks for the kinds works everyone

-Mike, il watch out for the thickness of hte zim next time, thanks for pointing it out

-mark, dont through it away, oven clean it and re-start :-) or simply buy the new premium kit( its a real beuty)

-steve, iam certainly no photographer, i took the pics at 4 different places at my house and checked them all to find the best pics... i l need to get a photography set up were my lighting isnt yellowish

-Brian, the zim was actualy an easy part( the rear excluded) i had a hard time zimmeriting around hte details although i somwhat managed it. i used squadron white putty which i kept mosit using thinner. i layed it down on hte surface then flatened and spread it with a q-tip moist in thinner whech i rolled across, then i used the back on an x=acto blade i had partialy cut off to have the apropriate sizeing. i also used a wider screwdriver at some palces to vary size. iafter it was dry, i gently sanded just a bit ( nothing much!) then cleaned with an old toothbrush

-Alex, thanks for hte pm
very appreciated

Thanks everyone
Frank

Excellent build you have here. Nice paintjob too. Have you tried the Tamiya zimm applicators? They work excellent.
