I know there were missions of reconnaissance and destruction behind the enemy lines.
Some missions involved using captured enemy vehicles to be less visible... But i'm sorry, I don't know anymore about the subject.

Hi Bud,
the Germans instituted some shadowy operations way, way, way behind the lines in the Soviet Union...these were based of the the paradrop method of insertion and consequently the troops usually fought on foot....there was some question as to whether these group(s)were compromised by the Soviets almost immediately...short answer is no German "LRDG" in Russia.
Cheers,
Dave
