Excellent white wash-- was this airbrushed? Nice job on the figs and display base..not overly busy and doesn't take away from the Tiger. Did you use the kit tracks or aftermarket?
Keep up the great work!

As was said before the streaks look amazing. Really great.
What scale is this in? 1/35?
The machine gunner with great coat........ what or where is he from? (dont say Germany!!)
I have the same gunner in 1/16th, thats what made me wonder. If it is 1/35, I want to buy the same dude so he can stand beside his bigger self! #:-)

Roger
Thank you Roger. To make the rust streaks I used a brush No 0, Humbrol 113 (Matt Rust) and Humbrol Thinner. When the overall paint job was dry, I applied the Humbroll 113 well diluted in the thinner whith the brush following downward strokes. Before they have dried, with the same brush but only with pure thinner I cleaned the excess of paint and kept brushing very lightly until they reach the desirable intensity. In this last action is the secret to obtain a good looking of the streaks. If they donīt look the way you want just clean them with a brush and thinner and repeat the process. Be carefull with the quantity of thinner and the brush, the last one has to br very soft if not you can ruin the paint job.

The whitewash was airbrushed using Humbrol 130 (Satin White) 40% + thinner 60%.
The tracks are the ones of the kit.

I first learned to do rust that way 27 years ago. Glad to see some of the old techniques still work despite all this modern stuff. Really liked the info, I'm planning a winter sceme dio eventually and putting together ideas. I found that figure in Academy Battle of the bulge set, except he's got a rifle. (#1377)

It really has a rifle but I changed the gun. I dicided to use the MG42.
