What color should I paint the Ferdinand wheels? The DML instructions say black but I have seen paintings where they are a steel color. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Ferdinands used steel rimmed wheels due to scarcity of resources, is this what you meant?

Hi All,
The Ferdinands did NOT have have rubber rimmed roadwheels. They were steel. They did, however, have a rubber cushion between the roadwheels. Therefor, it is correct to paint the rims a gunmetal or other dull steel color. Black is incorrect. I checked the Aberdeen Elefant.
Regards,
Georg
