I've got the Verlinden Willys Jeep Recon & Command conversion (1273) for the Italeri kit. Which country uses this variant, US, UK or someone else?

It was used by airborne forces in WW2, but I do not know if it is a US or UK version.

Hey Robin!
It looks very much like the US 101th Airborne Jeep used during the liberation of The Netherlands.
Take a look at my little walkaround of this vehicle here on Armorama:

There is a picture of this jeep, exact stowage bin, armor plate, etc in the book "Jeep, Jeep, Jeep", recently reprinted, on page 67.
It was a jeep of the 34th Signal Construction Bn, in France. (US Army)
the jeep had a M2 HB machine gun mounted on the M31 pedistal mount, slightly shortened. It also sported snow chain wheels (due to mud), and had the name "Banyam" in 2" high, block letters above the rear wheel (port side). It also had a radio w/ cover with the antenna mount being on the rear panel, near the port corner (so it was within the stowage bin). Spare wheel was on the hood, and there is also a wire cutter made from scrap. It was pretty loaded down, as the rear suspension is depressed a bit.
hope that helps!

oh, something else Rob, your better off going with the new Taymia kit!! The verlinden set will fit (might require a little filing around the armor plate, but not much).
