I picked up a couple of the new Academy M3 Lee kits from Sprue Brothers this afternoon and all I can say is sweet!
A dig through the box confirmed that it is light years ahead of the old Tamiya kit. It's not without a few faults, but hey, if there is nothing to tinker with, it's not as much fun!
Terry Ashley's review on PMMS and Steve Zaloga's mini-build log on Missing Links give a lot of insight into what I might want to fix. I'm not sure I'll try to shorten the bogie trucks, but it sould be easy to fill in the escape hatch and make some other little fixes. The problem with the angle of the front hull doesn't bother me much.
The biggest problem I have is putting them on the shelf for a while. I'm trying to finish a few projects for the IPMS Nationals in August.

I know the feeling. I've got so many unfinished kits wating to be finished. I'm really anxious to pick up an M3 as well. Good luck at Nationals.
