Just as it reads....
I know these were rare and nonexistent in the case of the easy eight suspension before Korea, Am i right?? I have alot of reference material for the Sherman, but nowhere am I able to find a photo of one.
The M4A3 105 was a late war pc and din't show up until late Oct. or early Nov.
Chime in please,
Chris

Not clear what you're looking for here. If you want the M4A3 with HVSS and dozer blade, there are plenty of pics in the Concord and Squadron books on Korean War armor. If you want a VVSS version, there weren't any, as far as I know. VVSS dozer tanks were apparently all 75mm models in WW2, based on available photos. There were also some 76mm dozer tanks in Korea.

I am referring to WW2 tanks so I meant the VVS 105s with the dozer blade.
I think I have seen an M4 105 dozer in a clip from Okinawa - but I am not 100% sure on this.
One would think that someone would have figured that a 105 dozer tank would have been the answer to pillboxes and fortifications on the Siegfried line.
Oh well

I've seen a 75mm gun tank, M4A3 with dozer assemblies. However, I've not seen any howitzer tank (M4 or M4A3) with dozers. It may be that relative to the numerous 75mm gun tanks, the staff wanted to keep the fewer 105 tanks for support missions. Slap the dozer onto the tired old tank -- leave the howitzer tanks for regimental command. This may have been the thinking. Only a guess

Hey Scott: Good pull up. I've seen those before. I wonder if it wasn't something left over from the Free French armored units. What I find unusual is the horizontal arm return rollers on this M4 (105) as even the pilot M4 (105)s had raised arms.
It'd be nice to know the history of this tank.

Nice find. Roy this is an ex-IDF vehicle I would guess. I know they used the 105/dozer combos.
I have already built the model so, I might be lifting off the turret and replacing it with the Formations one in my stash.
Thanks guys.
Chris
