I just finished putting together this model I believe it's the m113 (sorry forgot teh numbers) the APC in Vietnam. I was really surprised by the detail and fit of this model. Have others had good success with latest Academy armour? I was pleasantly surprised.

I've got a few of Academy's later kits like the M3 Stuart Honey, M113A2, M-18 Hellcat, M998 HMMWV, M966 TOW HMMWV, M1025 HMMWV, M997 Ambulance, M48A5/K, M60A1 w/dozer & ERA and M1A1. I've been imprssed with most of their newer kits. I've had a few old kits like the M551 Sheridan, M4A3E8, M151A2, and Panzer IV that were direct copies of the old Tamiya kits.

I have a bunch of these kits in the closet, and they look really good in the box. Kidding, actually built a couple and they built up very nice. #:-)

I,also, have several acadamy kits. Some are knock-offs of other manufacturers kit and others are thier own. They are excellent kits at a reasonable price. All the grips that some people have are because they are rating the kit compared to a "perfect" kit.As we all know, there is no such kit available. Thier IDF kits are nice but some need a little research and scratchbuilding to correct the inaccuracies. The worth of the kit is in the ability and desire of the modeller.Me,They get 4 out 5 stars as a manufacturer.
