Ok folks, another question about a compressor. I have finally burned up my Testor Mighty Mini after a year and a half of solid use. I am seriously considering picking up an Iwata Silver Jet. Has anyone used this one? If so please let me know your thoughts on it so I dont find out I wasted money on it. I plan on ordering it from Dixie Art if I do get it.
Thanks in advance,
Mark

Hi Mark, I can't comment directly on the Silver Jet but I do have an Iwata SmartJet and I really like it. I've been using it for a little over 3 years now with no problems at all. I purchased it from Dixieart and the price and customer service was excellent. Iwata products are first class.

edit:
I just looked up the SilverJet. I know it's another $40.00 but if you can afford it I'd go for the SprintJet. You will get a little more power, moisture trap, and a pressure gauge. The working PSI for the SilverJet is 10-18, for the SprintJet it's 20-30 (and I'm sure if needed you could go a lower). That extra pressure can come in handy.

Thanks Mike,
I actually received a Harbor Freight compressor from my wife yesterday as a birthday gift. Looking at it-it appears pretty good. Has a regulator and moisture trap with it. It also hooks straight up to my Iwata Revolution with no special adapters. I will have to try it out this weekend. Has to be alot better than the setup I had.

Hey, now there's a timely b-day present! That's actually how I got my SmartJet, it was a b-day present from my wife too.

Cheers,
Mike
