Not much to show, some cabin doors , portholes, and a stairway to the next deck.
Oh yeah, also finished the deck planking.
Thanks for looking - Cheyenne

Looking good Cheyenne, ( I know, it's a bit of an understatement knowing how much work goes into your scratchbuilds) I particularly like your portholes.
Will the cabin interiors be detailed as well? Oooops, I might have just given you an idea, and dubbled the amount of work involved.... sorry.. :-)
Cheers
Henk

Ohh, about your doors, I think ships doors open indoors, so the hinges would be on the inside.. .
Not 100% sure, but about 98%..

Cheyenne, I think we're gonna have to try and arrange some psychiatric care for you when this diorama is done!! Surely something so big and detailed will drive a man insane :-)
what a fantastic build ! as always - accurate and surgically neat. I really cannot wait to see this whole thing finished !

Thanks guys, Henk , this is being built from ref. pics. of the small freighter VENTURE of King Kong fame.
The actual freighter was a small cargo ship which Peter Jackson had refurbished in New Zealand to look like an early 1900's ship. The ref. pic. below is that of the stern door on the first deck, and appears to be of some exotic wood, mahogany maybe. Other doors on the ship appear to be similar except for some very cool pocket slider doors up by the brigde and upper becks.
I have alot of pics. in my album of this ship and the build will follow them pretty much as best as I can because the ship is just too cool.
Henk, originally I had plans of including many cut - away rooms to show interiors above and below decks, but nixed them for a cleaner build.
I will however have interiors for the bridge and radio room as they will have alot of windows.
Kevin, BigJon, Prato thanks guys, the portholes are from Artesania Latina, along with some hatch covers that I'm using for windows. Small brass brads are being used for rivits on the porthole flange, along with the general [ one million ] rivits to be seen everywhere on the ship.
Kevin, I'll call you this week, you should be getting the trees also the end of this week [ I hope ].
Thanks again - Cheyenne

Exceptional work Glen, I'm with Jon, but would a bottle of 18 year old single malt suffice? Sorry I didn't get a chance to call but I am putting your niumber in my cell now. I will give you a ring!

Cheyenne -
"Not much to show"? Every update shows us another level of an incredible amount of work, detail, and talent. This should be put into a book for all to benefit. Just plain fantastic work. Anxiously look forward to next update. Offer still out there for some 'cargo' donations if you're interested. Thanks for posting,
