I'm looking for any photo references for the Leopard 2AV (austere version). This was the version sent to the US to be evaluated along with the Chrysler and GM entries for the XM1. I've found the little half paragraph blurb on the vehicle, but no description or photos of how it differed from a standard Leo 2.

The AV version looked very similar to the standard Leopard 2.

The side skirts were fully scalloped like the Leopard 1.

The pioneer tools were mounted on the hull side not like on the hull rear deck on the standard Leopard 2.

The glacis plate had one continuous angle not like the two angles of the standard Leopard 2.

The head light arrangement was different.

I htink the turret was pretty much the same except for the first protoype had the 105 mm mounted not the 120mm main gun.
