Hi folks,
Ok, who would liek to help out a 1:1 scale build project?
I just rescued a 1940 Humber Mk1 Light Reconnaissance Car "Ironsides" from a wrecking yard in Ontario, Canada last week. The main hull has had the upper armour cut away, but 90% of the lower armour is there.
Does anyone have to share any interior photos (I'll reimburse copy costs!) or external shots especially of rear and off hand side?
Does anyone have any scale drawings?
There were only 200 of these made and none in any museums that I and several other Humber owners know of.
Please email me directly at [email protected]
I live near Philadelphia PA and I am a member of the 15th Reconnaissance Regt Living History Assoc. Our unit has 2 Dingos, a Humber Mk4 Armoured Car, Daimler Armoured Car and a jeep. Always lookign for new members.
Cheers

You lucky SOB. ;^) What a find!!! I am VERY jealous of your good luck.
First of all, Here are some links to my Humber LRC indices on the WarWheels site:

http://www.warwheels.net/HumberLRC2INDEX.html
http://www.warwheels.net/HumberLRC3INDEX.html
Also, George Bradford of AFV News Fame, has a very nice set of 1/35 line drawings of the LRC. Check out his drawing listing at http://www.afvnews.ca/1-35g.html .
Also, I may be able to come up with more stuff on the LRC.
I'll e-mail you and Personal Message (PM) you soon to see if we can get some photos of your new beauty for WarWheels! Good luck.
