Hi,

I´ve built this Diorama-Base for training some skills, espacelly skulping tree trunks, forest ground and fircone

It shall represent a european forest path, the pines has felled some times ago.
The season is late spring.

The Inf (Legend, 1:35, 90% painted) is only for size comparison.

Hope that you enjoy it.

Cheers,
Marc

Great job. Could you be a little more specific about some items. Like the branch with leaves attached, flowers (look like a good scale size), and what material for the grass.

Looks perfect to me,
Bob

you have made a very, very attractive and interesting base, with lots of texture and variety - your work is great! for a "training" piece this is fantastic, if you can do this in practise then your "serious" models must be quite a sight!

the only thing I would do slightly different is add a little more variation to the leaves...are they photo-etch?? They look good as they are, don't think this is a criticism, I just think they could use a little bit more bending if they are PE, they seem a little too neat. Other than that mate - your work is great! Look forward to seeing more

Have to agree here Marc. Even something as simple as making them two tone with a more earthy colour would make them 'retreat' into the surrounding flora...
As for the attention to detail~ Out of sight! The tree roots look the part; pines have a notorious reach underground...( Especially if planted near sewer lines and there is a drought... )
The grass clumps and the bare earth patches look to be suitably random, which along with varying heights and variety of flora is the key IMHO to making everything look natural...
Great job, beginner! :-)
Cheers

The photo on the bottom looks like a real life pic. I am anxious to know what materials you used for the grass and how you put it together.

yeah !! nothing too major, just a little something to take them "down" a touch from looking so level. I think thats about the only thing I could imagine needing any kind of change whatsoever.

They are lovely leaves though, I bet they cost a tidy penny ! I wouldn't want to bash them about too much...to be honest, I don't think I'd wanna cut each one off the fret either :-) kudos for the patience and care involved. I'll say it again that's one lovely piece of work.
