As a few of you know, I'm building a 1/35th model of a Marine Corps M1A1HA for an OIF diorama, and I was wondering, with the 3-color NATO camo scheme (black, brown, & dark green), how should I paint areas of the vehicle that aren't readily visible, such as the underside of the hull or the inner surface of the armor skirts? Should they keep the same pattern as the rest of the vehicle, or be overall dark green like the machine gun mounts? Any advice on this as well as other pointers on this camo pattern would be greatly appreciated. PS, what color should the inside of the TC, Loader, and Driver's hatches be?

The whole tank, including all "invisible" external areas and insides of hatches is painted green at the factory (of course only when the tank is supposed to be in NATO camouflage. If it is supposed to be desert tan, it is painted tan at the factory). Remaining two camouflage colors are later applied on top of this green base coat and only on visible areas (so no camouflage behind side skirt and on the tank bottom).

Please remember that NATO camouflage is applied according to single official pattern and all Army and Marine M1 tanks have the same camo pattern on them with only very minor variations.

One more question about that pattern; what is the Testors/Model Master name for the green shade used in that scheme? My directions only refer to it as 'NATO green' and don't provide any kind of FS number.
