Ian I have a bottle in my drawer. I tried it once about 6 years ago and rapidly went back to Microl set/sol as the Humbrol product did not appear to do anything. To me I would stay clear and use either the aformentioned or the Gunze product, which is great but dont touch the decal before it is dry and watch it when using it on metal finishes.
Hope this helps

Thanks John
I tried it with some spare decals on an old kit and as you mentioned any effect it had to help settle the decals wasnt apparent ,all it did was make the decals more glossy
