I forget what you call them but most units have several of them their hand held shoulder mounted rockets that you see on turetts and other things. What are they called, and is their a kit out their that have some modern ones in them and where can i find them, also where can you also find modern RPG's and I would like to find some pics of both of them haning on the side or the turrets of the veicals. I'm adding some to a project of mine

Different countries have different types and names. I believe the one the US uses is the AT-4 for a shoulder fired one. The US also uses the TOW and used to use what was called the Dragon, I think(this is in the older Modern US infantry kit from the 80's). As far as other kits, I would think that Dragon might have one and maybe think 180 studios , but not sure.

hopefully others will be more helpful,

There are 2 main categories. Unguided, called rockets and, naturally guided, called missiles. If that is what you mean.

Italeri's "Modern Battle Accessories set " (#6423) includes some AT missiles. There seems to be at least one AT-4 and one Dragon...I can't vouch for their accuracy ...

There are Light, Medium, and Heavy Anti-tank weapons. US used the LAW (Light anti-tank weapon) and has changed to the AT-4. Medium used to be the Dragon, now it is the Javelin. Heavy is the TOW system. Light is the only one that is shoulder fired. Medium systems need bipods for bracing. Heavy systems need tripods or vehicles. Russians run with a similar setup...RPG series for light, AT-? series (some) for medium, and othe AT-? series for Heavy.

LAW can be found from multiple sources, most noticably the DML Heavy weapons kit. AT-4 can also be found relatively easy.

Dragon can be found in several Dragon kits, like their older US Anti-tank team (Dragon and TOW systems). No kit of the Javelin yet.

TOW...several kits for that as well. Dragon kit mentioned above is the best for the tripod mounted version.

RPG-7 can only be found in the Academy M113 ACAV kit (vietnam era) and in a weapons set from TANK! Other RPG's (16/18/26 etc...) can be found in many places, escpecially the older Dragon modern russian figure kits.

AT-3 Sagger from Verlinden. AT-4/5 can be made by modifying a MILAN firing setup, or from using a vehicle mounted version and scratchbuilding the mount. Best AT-4/5 is inthe Zvezda BMD-2. No really good source to ground mount any other Russian AT series ATGM.

There are also several good aftermarket detail sets to spruce up the Dragon/TOW system, most notably the ABER PE set. It is insane.
