I’ve been watching the events in Gaza all day and was hoping you guys could help me with something.
Whats the name of Israelis APCs and does anyone make a kit of them? Sorry I don’t have any pictures of them but the news channels keep showing them along side the Merkavas.

I really like the design of these things and would like to learn more about them.

Hi Jacob

Modern armour isnt my area but I think its the Achzarit APC , im sure someone with more knowledge will be able to confirm this.
If you do a yahoo search for" Achzarit " theres plenty of reference out there

I think at Azimuth did a kit of one of these APC's but I'm not 100% certain

It was probably one of three vehicles. There is the Puma, the Achzarit and the Namer. The Puma is used in the Engineer Corp, the Achzarit as an APC and the Namer can be outfitted for either role. The Namer is the newest one and is built on the Merkava chasis.

Legend Productions makes kits or coversions for each of these. They are resin sets. I have built a few Legend kits and they are very nice. Check out: http://www.www-legend.co.kr/main.htm

Also check out Israeli Weapons website. Lots of information and pictures on Isreali vehicles, airplanes, weapons etc : http://www.israeli-weapons.com/israeli_weapons.html

Good luck.

Achzarit kits are also made by AEF Designs and Azimut. Lots of good reference photos appearing from the recent events. Seem to be Merkava 2B's (also done by Legends) along with the Achzarits. (or is it Achzarii?) :-)
