I'm thinking about buying them, but can't really find reviews online. Which ones are better: the AFV or the Academy version? (Level of detail, interior, the need for aftermarket stuff, etc.)
I found a great build on the AFV hellcat, but I'm not sure how much is scratchbuilt. (http://tanxheaven.com/m18(mod)/m18pic.htm)
Thanks

Thank you. When I google ( +"insert name here" +review) a bunch of online stores come up. After the 6th page, I gave up. Sad to admit, but I guess I have to learn how to search...

I haven't built the AFV M10, but I have built the Academy one and it was great. Only problems were minor fit issues with the turret with some minor gaps. My biggest problem was the ammo stowage racks on the hull. To put it simply the suck. I ended up only adding the ones visible. I also had issues with the rear hull plate, but I think that is my fault as the instructions weren't clear at to where to put the interior rear bulkhead, thus when I installed it incorrectly, the rear became incorrect.

But I loved building the kit as it gave me a bit of a challange while giving me plenty of options.

I would also recommend Steve Zaloga's building US tank destroyers form Osprey publishing. He gives some recommendations and comparisons, as well as fixes for the different US tank destroyers out there. Highly recommended for any attempt at US tank destroyers.
