I want to depict a really faded Shermie but I'm not sure how to fade the decals accordingly. Any suggestions?

A very fine misting over them with your base colour should do it.

Or put them on straight after a Future coat and weather them with the rest of the vehicle.

I like Vinnie's idea. I've tried weathering them along with everything else but it doesn't seem to get the right effect.

Brian, If there are any ohter steps or tricks that you use for the decals let me know. I'm doing exactly what you're talking about but it seems that the decals look too "fresh" compared to the rest of the vehicle.

Bradley, I'm doing the old Tamiya M4A3 105mm howitzer. I can't decide where to place it in the war though?

Hi ,

put your decal on using the usual procedures and then mist the decal with your basecoat (that should be green I guess). Believe me it works. Be careful with your airbrush though, the paint must be very thin and must be applied carfully. It is easy to put too much on. Just keep you AB nozzle on a large distance from your model (30 centimeters/1foot). I tried this on my:32 F-15 to get rid of those bright shiny colours the decals were printed with.

If you are not sure just try with and old decal on a sracp piece of plasttic.

Cheers,

Matthijs

IIRC, the kit can be made as a 6AD 68TB tank in the Ardennes... That is the obvious option...
Can get you a pic of it moving towards Bastogne if you want...
Cheers
