I'm in the process of finishing a model of the Tamiya M20 and I'm looking for references (incl photos if possible) regarding unit markings etc for US forces in the WW2 ETO (apart from the ones on the instruction sheet). I have a copy of Squadron/Signal "US Armoured Cars in Action" but it's not particularly helpful. Anybody have any bright ideas?

Ken

Several times - quite a few references and pictures of M8s, but none (to date) of M20s. So far I've found 3 units which used M8s (44th cavalry, 82nd recon battalion 2nd armoured division and 106th cavalry) - maybe if I could find more units that used armoured reconnaissance vehicles of one form or another I'd get a bit closer

Thanks

Rob

The Free French and Poles used these as well.

Unfortunately specific unit marking info is NOT one of my strong points, or main interests.

However, check out my M20 index at http://www.warwheels.net/m20UtilityCarINDEX.html to see what I have. I do have a number of other references listed that may help out.

Patrick

Thanks for that - I found your site yesterdy and it added a bit more to my slowly growing pile of references. Still looking.

Regards

Rob
