I shot the main coat of paint yesterday . I free handed the main colors and then I used a index card with holes punched in random patterns for spots in the ambush pattern . Then I shot buff mixed with panzer yellow cut with thinner for the blending coat . There are a few spots that need touching up . The next step is to add BII and a couple of washes and weather the tracks after I decide on the dio base . Thanks for looking , later Toad .

Carlton

Great camo I take it you find it easier to paint the tools/tow cables etc when they are off the vehicle?

I always paint my tools and cables off the vehicle and add them after tank has been painted. The only thing I would add is the engine grillls. It never looks right to me without those

Quite an impressive blending of all the camo elements.Re : or chat about the spots, that is an idea I will try when I do ambush camo.
Everyone ought to study the camo closely...

Thanks for the comments . As soon as the paint dries I'll take some more pics . I've attached the tools and cables , after that I shot the blend coat over the tank . My blend coat is a cut dusting of red brown followed up by a cut dusting of dark yellow . I also added the PE grills to the engine deck . More to follow .

I picked up a Czech Masters metal barrel at my LHS yesterday . So I added that to the tank . Still a bit of touching up to do around the turret numbers and a few other places . After that I'll do a good grunge wash and rust the exaust pipes a bit and that should do it for this kit before it goes in the dio.

very very well done. I love tiger 2's. The kits go together well, get a few pe pieces and it looks like a million bucks.
