Jim--you just know that Ken will shortly produce a picture. I'll go out on a limb and say they sure were used. At the end of the war for some odd ball reason, they had a load of them in Japan. I think you will be on sure footing by putting the M-26 on her. Did you build the Tamiya M-26? She is one beautiful model.

Yes, Jim, the M26 with the M15A1 trailer was used extensively to transport Pershings during both WWII and Korea. The 724th Ord Bat, the 330th Ord Bat, the 307th Ord Group, and the 728th Ord Bat all used the Dragon Wagon during the Korean conflict.

There are pictures of both the armored cab and the newer softskin cab Dragon Wagons in the book "Armor in Korea" from Squadron/Signal. And the Armored version is shown hauling a Pershing.

Although this is an M26A1 (the new "soft-skinned" version) loading an M26 Pershing onto the M15A1 trailer, there were plenty of the "armored" DW's used in Korea. The M26 and M26A1 tactors were used almost exclusively in combination with the M15A1and M15A2 trailer in Korea.
This picture was taken November 25th, 1950 just outside of Pyongyang during the U.N.'s brief occupation of N. Korea.
If you plan on doing the DW in Korea with a loaded M26 Pershing you will certainly have to convert the Tamiya trailer (M15) into the M15A1. DES Models of France makes a complete resin M15A1 (kit #053), though it is extremely expensive - about $150!!!
Real Models of Germany makes a conversion kit for the Tamiya trailer (Kit # 35081) and it goes for about $50!
Another alternitive is to scratch build one using the Tamiya kit as the base. I do not have any reference photos of the M15A1 but, you could go here for some descent photos of the M15A2 trailer which is not too unlike the A1 variant. More-so the M15A2 would be more common in Korea. M15A2 Trailer +
I hope this helps a bit to get you started.
