Hi, I have just finished painting the 3 tone NATOflage. OF course at this point the contrast is very stark. I am looking for opinions on what I should do next. Should do a very light misting of buff to tone it down? Should I just lightne up the individual colors a bit? Or will the normal process of weathering do the trick?

I appreciate your opinions,

Hi Sean,

What I would do is use a filter of buff.
Use 5-10% paint in thinners and mist it onto your model to get an even coverage. This should give a nicely faded, subdued look to the cammo. I did this on this Tiger I and in the thread you can see "before" and "after" pics.
HTH

Thanks for the input Sean. That is the direction I was leaning, but wanted feedback before I proceeded. It definately seems the way to go at this point instead of lightening each of the individual colors.

Have a great day,
