Hi guys,

This is a duplication of a thread I started on HF.
This is a suggestion I'd like to make to the "powers that be"

I saw this thread on ArmoramA...

link

I think that it just as properly belongs over on Historicus forma as well as the main site.
What I'd like to suggest is that this entire forum be made visible on both sites. Not a duplication of it, just have it appear there as well as on ArmoramA.
It'd be a shame if the figures only guys missed seeing things like this.

Is it possible to do this?
Do you folks think it's worthwhile doing?
Thanks,
Craig

Craig, they don't have to 'miss out' on anything. Most will look on both sites.

Hi Vinnie,
Thanks for replying.
I have to disagree with you on that one. I think that some of the hard core figure guys might not be visiting ArmoramA now that we have HF. I know that I personally don't visit it nearly as much as I used to.
Having that forum show on both sites would save the author from having to post it on both sites.
Thanks,
Craig

For the people who feel they must have one place to see ALL the most recent posts for the ENTIRE network in one place, I am working on a version of the latest posts page that does that.

For now the reason that your request is not really feasible is a technical one. I don't get to pick and choose which forums show up on which sites. It's either based on the site or it's based on being in the Network Sites group of forums or the Off-topic forums. And if I were to move Military Figures into the Network Forums area it would also reduce the postings. Not only that but we already have forums on HF for "Military Figures" so this would be a redundant forum for that site.

Visit them, don't visit them, but you will be missing out on some good stuff if you don't. Take Costas' St. Vincent trip to the Pegaso Studio for example. It's like 2 clicks away for Armorama users.

1. Click Historicus Forma above
2. Click top pictured feature

2 clicks... not far.

Jim,
I'm not sure how I managed to give you that impression by my question. No way that was what I was asking for.
Sorry to have bothered you.

Craig,
It wasn't a "bother".

I fully understand what you were asking for. I thought the second paragraph of my post made that clear.

The reason I mentioned the Latest Post option was that MANY others have asked for it since the site changes recently and also your basic contention is that some people are going to "miss" what might be posted on another site. Well with that function they wouldn't.

Hi Jim,
Thanks for getting back to me.
I kind of got the impression that I had rubbed you the wrong way there.
I guess I just misinterpreted your first paragraph. An easy thing to do on the internet :-)
I hadn't heard anything about the "Latest Post" requests that you've been getting before your post. Sounds like an interesting idea. Hope it works.
Thanks,
Craig

Sorry I have gotten into the habit of CAPITALIZING things I want people to focus on. It shouldn't be misinterpreted as yelling.
