Thanks Derek
I checked the site out but there where no pics of the engine

, however there where some great interior pics of the cab and the winch assembly to work with:)
I may just have to use a little artistic/engineering licence on the engine

Ask around in the forums at Maple Leaf Up. There is a wealth of information there.
Lots of fellows on there have or restore these vehicles.

Hi Ian!
I'm not entierly sure, byt the engine looks like Ford's Flathead V8, sooo you could
possibly find some reference on automotive/auto-modelling sites?
Heres one that has some nice diagrams for wiring spark plugs :
http://modeltech.tripod.com/index.htm Hope it helps some

I think you are right Pedro , it does appear to have 2 banks of 4 cylinders , well i count 4 spark plugs per side anyway :-) , now im trying to figure out if or what or even the tamiya engine has a distributor

For what it's worth, the Tamiya Quad flathead is not a very accurate rendition of this motor. I wanted to put it into a Universal carrier but it was simply too "off" for me, so I scratch built one.
Indeed, MLU is good source for Flathead motor info...too bad there wasn't more BEFORE I finished my motor.
