Someone passed on to me a Heller AMX-30 105mm tank (1/35 scale). I've built this kit about 20 years ago, but does anyone know if there are any aftermarket improvements for this kit? Can it be built into anyother countries' tank?

Eduard has an inexpensive photoetch set for the original variant. The most useful items are the replacement grills for the engine deck. The circular grill is the original pattern with the transverse ribs. Later vehicles (the B2 variants) have a bullseye pattern grill similar to the Leopard 2.
Azimut offered an AMX30B2 Gulf War conversion in resin and brass, with the revised turret stowage box, blanking plates for the rangefinder housings (laser replaced the old coincidence type), and PE for the bullseye main grill. The stowage box was mismolded on my mine, though, and I'll need some Milliputt to set it right. Not included are any improved parts for the waterproofing panels stowed on the glacis or the stowage box covers and latches for the sponson sides. These really need to be redone with styrene and misc. metal bits from the spares box.

Hi Robin,
to add some points to Gerald's post, you'll have to drill the APU exhaust mounted on the left side or the driver station, set just one headlight instead of two (one was the IR projector), replace the headlight guard by some PE fret or the Eduard parts, redo the hull side stowage bin latches, create the waterproofing plates latches.
Gumka did a set of tracks but it's hard to find now. The new tracks are not suitable with the AMX OOTB, they first have been released with the Brennus version and now fit the AuF1 SP howitzer, the EBG and the Brennus but not the standard B2.
If you need some more info about this vehicle pay a visit to my site you'll find some pictures of the Heller box version and the newer ones B2 and Brennus.
Beware about the mine clearing version by Phebus, it is not easy at all and you'll need a good documentation to build the roller system.
