Without a doubt they seem to be rapidly dropping all but the most popular colours. This has been happening for a good number of years, I was particularly saddened by the loss of Brown Bess one of the best colours, to use for boots and leather webbing before building up the oil washes. In the initial run of dropouts they produced a folder that contains lots of pages with recipes to mix the colours, there was a kit containing tins and syringe to achieve this. At the time they said having taken my money that the folder would be regularly updated, on an annual basis to take account of the smaller range. I never did see an update and there has been much suggestion for a number of years to retailers about some new range of extra special acrylic colours..................never yet seen.

Hi John. Im a Humbrol user also, and was a bit upset, when this was dropped. But in hindsight, its not the end of the world. For each time I need this colour, I mix greens and greys to get close to the original but don´t sweat it!. Because of weathering and different batches, its better with a little variation. Using the one colour all the time becomes boring. This works for me. I was lucky enough to find some 111 later, but still mix up some variations, as it looks better rather than all, having the same colour!8)
