I've had a lot of trouble recently with lint getting in and on my finishesas I am spraying. Especially when it comes to spraying Future. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to reduce or control lint while you are airbrushing?

Hello, mate!
Lint, eh?...well, I for one keep my spray area very clean and well ventilated. Never had a problem with dirt or lint in my finishes. Is there alot of ruckus about after you're through spraying? Usually you have to stir up the dust to get it flying around. Tell us a bit more about your spray area, methods, equipment, etc., and maybe I can help ya a bit!

I have been using a clear cover that I "borrowed" from the wife. It is just a plastic top to a food tray (veggie/ fruit). I spray and place the model under until dry. Helps keep 99% of dust hair etc off.

As far as my workspace goes I've got a bench in our home "office" area. It's cleaned with the rest of the house once a week. We do have three cats, but hair hasn't been a problem. I don't have a good space to take things to dry but the problem seems to come when I'm spraying. I just thought of something! It's been hot and humid around here so we have been running the A/C nonstop. I bet that is blowing lint and dust everywhere I'll try turning off the air and see what happens.

I normally wipe down the inside of my spray booth with a damp rag to pick up any dust before spraying. The key word in normally, not always. :-) :-)

A tip I read somewhere was to wipe the area down, the day before, so as little dust as possible is ariborne. Then an hour or so before spraying, lightly mist some water onto the spray area with an adjustable spray bottle. This makes the area a little damp and will hold the dust down until you are finished. Sounds plausable anyway.
I have series of plastic boxes with lids that I place the items in immediately to keep dust free!
I guess a little common sense would help avoid the worst of your problem!
