I know you guys as busy enough. I have a suggestion only and not sure who would be the best to ask so I put it here.
I've noticed that some posts have been concerning How To items like tarps, nets, weathering, etc..
Under Features in the main section could we add a How to Sections that redirects people back to these posts.
The features listed are ones written up by individuals and are a great help to members looking for help. This would be just one of those one liners saying a topic and if selected or clicked on takes the individual to that post where it was discussed by members.
We could also ask for topics or certain posts to add to this section from the Armorama Members. Break them up into catagories then under that certain topics.
I've found myself asking in a post for something I couldn't find by a search, then waiting for an answer to help, or getting lucky by re-searching using different words.
Alot of the features are talking about certain dioramas or models, which are great but deserve their own section.
Just an idea,
Bob

Bob,
This was the original idea behind the "Edcucational: Techniques Database" section in the Links database. See homepage links area.
All that is needed is for people to SUBMIT them.
Cheers,
Jim

Yes but thats for links off site, this would be for redirecting people to posts on our site concerning that individual topic.
When I looked there were 3 and all 3 went off site.
Or is that where you want us to put links directing members back to our site to an individual topic post.?
Or am I just daft and we are talking the same thing? (Good Possibility)

It wouldn't really matter to the database whether the link is on or off site. It's just an easy place to look for a technique or tip.
For those with extensive posts on a project or technique, why not submit it as a feature? Also when you guys see these here or on other sites, you should consider contacting the author and suggesting that they submit their write-ups to the site as features. The forum is great for "posts of the day/week/etc" but not a good place to try to search through or sort for relevant articles on a subject. This is mainly due to the fact that images tend to get uploaded to the authors personal gallery (on whichever site) and then those images are not available 1, 2, or 3 years later. Thus you end up finding a nice topic via the search but no images.
Features... we recommend them!
Cheers,
Jim
