What type of cameras is on the M1 Panther II Mine Clearing Vehicle? Vodnik’s review on DML’s M1 Panther II has 2 photos on the camera. It seems different than the commercial surveillance camera. Based on my experience, commercial camera used to have 2 connectors with screw terminal for power and video sign is transmitted via RG-59 coaxial cable with BNC connector. Wirings are done inside the housing. The 2 photos in Vodnik’s review show that one connector is connected to the back of the housing and the housing has a top plate secured with six screws. To adjust the focus on a commercial camera, one needs to remove the housing first, disconnect the BNC from the back of camera, then connect the camera to a portable monitor via a coaxial cable with BNC connectors and adjust focus ring on the camera lens based on the monitor display. The camera on the M1 Panther II seems to have one cable with a connector assuming to provide power to the camera and transmit video signal in the same cable. Access to the camera is limited by the housing walls due to top opening. I want to build DML M1 Panther II other than regular OOB. Any photos on M1 Panther II to help me understand the camera setup will be very much appreciated. So far google search on “M1, Panther II, Camera” doesn’t yield much help other than Vodnik’s review. Thanks in advance.
